GSR Hackathon ​​ FAQs

The GSR Hackathon is divided into 2 phases an online phase and a physical phase where both phases will span 3 days. During the first 2 days in both phases team will continue working and developing their project and will benefit from the mentorship sessions that are offered to participants. In the last day for both phases team will present their ideas to the judging panel.

Yes it is virtual for the first phase and will be in-person next second and last phase.

Yes, for both phases the attendance is mandatory for the team leader and at least two team members.

All team members should at least of age 18 and for team leader to be of Saudi National. Each team should consist of 3-5 members. The team shall select to address one of the hackathon’s challenges.

No, but the team member must be Saudi National.

No, You may register for one idea that addresses one of the hackathon’s challenges.

The ownership of all ideas will splitted between the team and the GSR hackathon’s official partner.

Ideas should be presented in English only.

Yes, the team leader will register the full details of all members through the hackathon register page.

Yes, modifications can be made during the registration period only.

No, each participant is responsible for getting funded to attend for the in-person phase in Dhahran to cover travel and accommodation costs.

The prize is awarded to the team leader, who assumes full responsibility for distributing it among the team members. The organization bears no responsibility for how the prize is shared once it has been handed over.
