Code of Conduct

Vision:

GSR makes research accessible, unlocking growth on personal and societal levels through a studentled conference. We redefine student initiatives at KFUPM, setting new standards in quality, excellence, and sustainability while building a legacy as the first international, student-led research conference in the world, showcasing KFUPM on the global stage. In five years, GSR will be a global hub for innovation, collaboration, and student-led excellence.

We, the members of GSR, commit to fostering a dynamic and inclusive conference environment that delivers exceptional experiences for all our constituents, including students, faculty, sponsors, guests, and visitors. We pledge to ensure that their experiences are informative, entertaining, and memorable. Additionally, we are dedicated to maintaining and enforcing a harassment-free and nuisance-free environment. 

Scope:

This code applies to all activities and interactions conducted under the name of GSR, whether in physical or digital spaces. It is binding for all members, Leaders, and volunteers.

The following are principles that should always be followed to the best of one’s ability in the relevant scope applicable.

Laws and Regulations:

All participants must obey the laws and regulations of Saudi Arabia. Moreover, you must also adhere to the rules set by KFUPM.

Integrity:

Be honest and truthful, applying ethical principles impartially and consistently.

Accountability:

Take responsibility for your actions and acknowledge their consequences.

Confidentiality:

Keep GSR-related information private unless authorized to disclose it.

Teamwork:

Collaborate effectively, communicate transparently, and support fellow members.

Sustainability:

Use resources responsibly to ensure their availability for future generations.

Diversity:

Respect and embrace cultural, gender, and other differences.

Conflict Resolution:

Handle conflicts civilly, using peaceful means and seeking HR Committee assistance if needed.

Justice:

Act impartially and transparently, treating all members fairly and evaluating them without bias.
