Scientific Review & Registration Committee
Oversee and facilitate all aspects of student research, from submission and peer review to presentations and publications, ensuring a safe, collaborative, and high-quality research environment
Goals of the Scientific Affairs Committee:
- Establish Enabling Frameworks: Build the necessary infrastructures, policies, and agreements to facilitate seamless Global Student Research collaboration.
- Integrate Comprehensive Systems: Develop cohesive and high-functioning processes and workflows that support every stage of student research participation.
- Streamline Procedures: Ensure simplicity and efficiency in both internal operations and the student-facing experience, making the process intuitive and accessible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research Submission & Peer Review: Manage the complete cycle of research paper submissions and ensure a robust, fair peer review process.
- Publications & Proceedings: Manage conference proceedings, digital archives, and journal collaborations.
- Research Presentations & Participant Coordination: Organize research presentations and manage the support for research participants.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison with the Technical Committee and Interdisciplinary Research Centers (IRCs) to enable seamless research collaborations.
Committee Roles:

Supporting Documentation Manager:
- Create and maintain comprehensive abstract templates, guidelines, and instructions for
student submissions - Develop multimedia tutorials and walkthroughs to guide students through the
registration and content creation process. - Curate a library of resources, such as writing tips, citation styles, and data visualization
best practices.

Website Content Strategist:
- Develop and manage the content strategy for the committee's website and digital platforms
- Collaborate closely with the Supporting Documentation Manager to integrate relevant
resources and updates.

Financial Aid Coordinator:
- Develop clear guidelines and eligibility criteria for financial assistance programs
- Monitor budget allocations and work with related committees to optimize the financial
aid program.

IRCs Engagement Coordinator
- Serve as the primary liaison between the committee and the university’s
Interdisciplinary Research Centers. (IRCs) at the university. - Gather feedback and insights from IRC stakeholders to continuously improve the
committee's offerings and processes.

Publications & Proceedings Manager:
- Oversee the process for publishing proceedings, research highlights, and extended
papers. - Work with academic publishers, journals, and indexing platforms to increase research
visibility.
